# A GLP-1 weight tracker that puts your weigh-ins on the same chart as your doses

> Log weight in a daily check-in, sync it with Apple Health, and see the trend with a goal line and dose step-up markers. Peppy for iPhone. Logging is free.

A GLP-1 weight tracker is only useful if it shows weight next to the doses that might explain it. Peppy logs weight in the daily check-in (free), reads your history from Apple Health and writes every weigh-in back, and draws the trend in the Progress tab with a goal line and a marker on every dose step-up (charts are Pro). It does not log food or calories.

## Why a GLP-1 weight tracker needs your dose history

Weight on its own is a noisy number. It moves with water, salt, sleep and the time of day, and on a GLP-1 it also moves with the dose. Wegovy's prescribing information, for example, starts at 0.25 mg once weekly and escalates every four weeks toward a maintenance dose. Zepbound and Mounjaro have their own ladders. A plateau in week six and a change in week eleven are far easier to read when the chart shows that the dose stepped up in week nine. A generic scale app cannot know that. A GLP-1 weight tracker that lives next to your dose log can.

Peppy is a dose tracker first, so weight is stored alongside every shot, every skipped dose and every side-effect check-in. The Progress tab then draws them on the same timeline.

## Logging weight: the daily check-in

Weight is the first field in Peppy's daily check-in, which sits on the Today tab under the dose list ("Weight, side effects, how you feel"). Enter the number, pick lb or kg once in Settings ▸ Tracking, and it is saved with the date. The same sheet logs side effects on a 1 to 5 scale, feelings such as energy and appetite control, a note and an optional progress photo, so one habit produces the whole picture. Check-ins and weight logging are free. If you only want to log weight, leave the rest blank; the streak counts a check-in either way.

You can also log weight directly from the Progress tab with **Log weight**, and a check-in reminder at a fixed time (Pro) helps keep weigh-ins consistent, which matters more than frequency.

## Apple Health, in both directions

Most people already have months of weight in Apple Health from a smart scale or another app. Peppy reads that history so the trend is not empty on day one; during onboarding the step is **Import weight from Apple Health** ("Optional - your weight history shows up in Progress"), and it can be turned on later with **Sync weight with Apple Health** in Settings. From then on, every weigh-in you enter in Peppy is written to Health, so your scale app, your doctor's portal or anything else reading Health sees it too. Imported weigh-ins are labelled with their source in the check-in.

Apple's rules apply here and they are worth knowing. Read and write access are separate permissions, granted per data type. You can see and revoke what Peppy has under Settings ▸ Health ▸ Data Access & Devices, and if you revoke it Peppy immediately loses access. Apple prohibits apps from using Health data for advertising. Peppy asks only for body weight; it does not read steps, heart rate or anything else. See the [privacy guide](https://peppytracker.com/guides/private-peptide-tracker/) for where the rest of your data lives.

## The weight chart: trend, goal line, step-up markers

The Progress tab's weight card (Pro) shows:

- **The trend line** over your chosen range, with each weigh-in as a point.
- **A goal line**, labelled "goal", once you set one. The stats row reads Starting, Current and To go, plus your pace as lb or kg per week.
- **Step-up markers** at every dose change on a protocol with titration, so a change in slope can be read against the dose that preceded it. The [titration tracker guide](https://peppytracker.com/guides/glp-1-titration-schedule-tracker/) explains how step-ups are set up.

Tap **Edit goal** to set start weight, start date, goal weight and height; total change is measured from the start weight, and height gives a BMI figure next to it. Below the weight card, the same tab shows the side-effect heat-map, feelings, adherence and the "Active in your system" curve, all on the same time axis, which is the point: weight, nausea and dose in one view. The [side-effects guide](https://peppytracker.com/guides/track-glp-1-side-effects-food-noise/) covers that half.

Without Pro the Progress charts render blurred, but your numbers are still saved and still exported, and the weigh-ins are still written to Health.

## The Weight widget

The Weight widget (Pro) shows your latest weigh-in and how it moved over the last 30 days, on the Home Screen or the Lock Screen. It is deliberately a 30-day number rather than a daily one, since day-to-day changes on a GLP-1 are mostly noise.

## What Peppy does not do

There is no food, calorie, protein or water logging, no meal plans and no coaching. Peppy is the dose-side of the picture. If you already use a nutrition app that syncs with Apple Health, the weight Peppy writes to Health shows up there, and Peppy's PDF or CSV export puts weight and doses in one file for your appointment (see [exporting for your doctor](https://peppytracker.com/guides/export-dose-log-for-your-doctor/)).

## How to do this in Peppy

1. During onboarding, or later in **Settings ▸ Tracking**, turn on **Sync weight with Apple Health** and allow read and write for body weight when iOS asks. Existing weigh-ins import into Progress.
2. Set your unit under **Weight unit** (lb or kg) in the same Settings section.
3. Open the **Progress** tab, tap **Set a goal weight**, and enter start weight, start date, goal weight and height. Save.
4. Each day, tap the **Daily check-in** row on the Today tab, type your weight, add side effects or feelings if you like, and save. Or tap **Log weight** on the Progress tab.
5. Make sure your protocol has its dose step-ups entered (Protocols ▸ your protocol ▸ Edit ▸ **Dose step-ups**, Pro). Each step becomes a marker on the weight chart.
6. Add the **Weight** widget to the Home Screen or Lock Screen, and turn on the **Daily check-in reminder** under Settings ▸ Reminders so weigh-ins land at the same time each day.

## Frequently asked

### What should a GLP-1 weight tracker do?

Weigh at a consistent time, log it daily or a few times a week, and look at the trend rather than single readings. Keep the weigh-ins next to your dose history so a plateau or a change lines up with a step-up, a missed week or a change in side effects.

### Does Peppy sync weight with Apple Health?

Yes, in both directions and free. Peppy imports your existing weight history from Apple Health so the chart is not empty on day one, and writes every weigh-in you enter back to Health. You grant read and write separately, and you can revoke either in the Health app.

### Can I see when my dose changed on the weight chart?

Yes (Pro). If your protocol has dose step-ups, Peppy draws a marker on the weight trend at each step. The catalog's ladder for Wegovy runs 0.25, 0.5, 1, 1.7 and 2.4 mg, so the markers show where each of those steps started for you.

### Is the weight chart free?

Logging weight, the goal, Apple Health sync and the weight numbers are free. The Progress tab's charts (weight trend with goal line and step-up markers, side-effect heat-map, adherence) are Peppy Pro and show blurred until you upgrade.

### Does Peppy track food or calories?

No. Peppy tracks doses, sites, side effects, weight and how you feel. If you log food in another app that writes to Apple Health, that app can read the weight Peppy writes there, but Peppy itself has no food, calorie or macro logging.
