Tracking Mounjaro means one weekly tirzepatide shot, a six-step ladder from 2.5 mg to 15 mg that moves in 2.5 mg increments, rotating injection sites, and watching nausea and weight after each step. Peppy counts down to your shot day, suggests the next site on a body map, advances the dose when a step ends, and ties a daily check-in to every shot.

## What tracking Mounjaro actually involves

A Mounjaro tracker app has three things to keep straight: the weekday, the injection site, and which 2.5 mg step you are on. Mounjaro is a once-weekly tirzepatide pen dosed in milligrams, so there is nothing to mix or convert. Its prescribing information starts adults at 2.5 mg once weekly for four weeks, then 5 mg, with further increases in 2.5 mg increments only after at least four weeks on the current dose, up to a maximum of 15 mg. Six steps at four weeks each is a five-month climb if you go all the way, and most of the tracking work happens in that window.

| Mounjaro - catalog dose ladder | Dose |
| --- | --- |
| Step 1 | 2.5 mg |
| Step 2 | 5 mg |
| Step 3 | 7.5 mg |
| Step 4 | 10 mg |
| Step 5 | 12.5 mg |
| Step 6 | 15 mg |

Dose steps as listed in the Peppy catalog so the picker is fast - **not a recommendation**. Your prescriber sets your dose; Peppy tracks it.

This is the ladder Peppy's catalog lists for [Mounjaro](https://peppytracker.com/compounds/tirzepatide-mounjaro/). Where you stop on it, and how long you sit at each step, is your prescriber's call; Peppy just needs to know the current step.

## Shot day, rotation and missed doses

Mounjaro's label names the abdomen and thigh for self-injection and the back of the upper arm if someone else injects, and says to rotate sites with each dose. Peppy's body map turns that into 13 sites on a front/back silhouette. Open the log sheet and the suggested site is already marked, with "last used 7 days ago" under it. If you also track something else, the rotation is shared so two protocols never double up on the same spot. The [site rotation guide](https://peppytracker.com/guides/injection-site-rotation/) explains the sequence.

Missed doses have a tighter window than semaglutide. Mounjaro's label says to take a missed dose as soon as possible within 4 days (96 hours), and to skip it if more than 4 days have passed. It also allows moving your weekly day as long as there are at least 3 days (72 hours) between two doses. Peppy computes missed and overdue from your schedule and shows the elapsed time on the Today tab, so the 96-hour question has a clear answer when you talk to your prescriber. Log late, skip, or add a past dose from the Calendar; because states are computed and never stored, the month grid never shows duplicates. The [missed GLP-1 dose guide](https://peppytracker.com/guides/missed-glp-1-dose/) compares the labels.

## Titration and step-ups

Because every Mounjaro step is 2.5 mg, it is easy to forget whether you are on 7.5 or 10, especially if your prescriber held you at one step for eight weeks instead of four. In Peppy, titration (Pro) is a list of steps with a duration each. When a step ends, the dose advances on the protocol card, in the reminder and on the log sheet at the same time; you never edit the protocol on shot day. Each step-up is a marker on the weight chart so the effect of each increment is visible later. If you plateau at a step, extend its duration and the rest of the ladder shifts. The [titration schedule tracker guide](https://peppytracker.com/guides/glp-1-titration-schedule-tracker/) walks through the editor.

## Side effects and weight

The daily check-in takes about 20 seconds from the row on the Today tab: weight, five side effects scored 1 to 5 (nausea, constipation, heartburn, sulfur burps and food noise are the GLP-1 defaults; add others from Settings), how you feel, and a note. Apple Health can supply the weight automatically, and everything you enter is written back to Health. Injection-site reactions are a common thing to log after a pen shot; there is a dedicated [injection site reaction](https://peppytracker.com/side-effects/injection-site-reaction/) page on what people report.

On the Progress tab (Pro), the side-effect heat-map lines up against your shot days and step-up markers, and the weight trend shows your goal. This is how you get from "I think I felt worse after going to 7.5" to a chart with the step-up marker and two weeks of nausea scores next to it. Export (Pro) produces the same data as a PDF or CSV for your appointment.

## What's still active

Mounjaro's label gives tirzepatide an elimination half-life of approximately five days, which is what makes once-weekly dosing work. Peppy draws that as an "Active in your system" curve from the catalog half-life: it decays through the week and steps up when the next shot lands on what remains. It is an estimate from the half-life, not a measurement, and it exists so "how much is left" is a glance, not a calculation.

## Frequently asked

### Is there a Mounjaro tracker app for iPhone?

Yes. Peppy is a free iPhone Mounjaro tracker app. Mounjaro is in its catalog as a weekly tirzepatide pen with the 2.5 to 15 mg ladder, so you search for it, set your shot day and last dose, and log each shot on a body map. The Today tab counts down to the next one.

### How do I remember my Mounjaro day?

Set the weekday in the protocol; the Today tab shows the countdown. With Pro, Peppy sends a reminder on the day, a missed-dose nudge 30 minutes, 1 hour or 2 hours later, and the Next Shot widget on your Lock Screen logs it in one tap.

### What does the tracker do if I miss a Mounjaro dose?

It shows OVERDUE with the hours elapsed. Mounjaro's label says a missed dose can be taken within 4 days (96 hours) and otherwise skipped; that decision is yours and your prescriber's. Then you log it late or mark it skipped so the calendar stays accurate.

### Can I track Mounjaro step-ups in the app?

Yes. Titration (Pro) holds each step and its duration. When a step ends the dose advances on the protocol card, the reminder and the log sheet, and a marker shows on your weight chart.

### Does a Mounjaro tracker record side effects?

Peppy's daily check-in scores nausea, constipation, heartburn, sulfur burps and food noise from 1 to 5, with weight and a note. The Progress tab (Pro) lines those up against your shot days as a heat-map.
