Tracking Ozempic means remembering one weekly shot, rotating the site, knowing which step of the 0.25 to 2 mg ladder you are on, and noticing how nausea and weight move after each shot. Peppy counts down to your shot day, suggests the next injection site on a body map, advances the dose when a step ends, and ties a daily check-in to every shot you log.

## What tracking Ozempic actually involves

An Ozempic tracker app has less to do than a peptide tracker, and that is the point. Ozempic is a once-weekly semaglutide pen dosed in milligrams, so there is no reconstitution math and no units to convert. What you need to keep straight is the weekday, the injection site, and the step you are on. Ozempic's prescribing information starts adults at 0.25 mg once weekly for four weeks, then 0.5 mg, with later increases to 1 mg and 2 mg only after at least four weeks on the current dose. That is a ladder with a calendar attached, and it is what most people are really tracking during their first months.

| Ozempic - catalog dose ladder | Dose |
| --- | --- |
| Step 1 | 0.25 mg |
| Step 2 | 0.5 mg |
| Step 3 | 1 mg |
| Step 4 | 2 mg |

Dose steps as listed in the Peppy catalog so the picker is fast - **not a recommendation**. Your prescriber sets your dose; Peppy tracks it.

The ladder above is the one Peppy's catalog lists for [Ozempic](https://peppytracker.com/compounds/semaglutide-ozempic/); your prescriber sets which step you are on and when you move. Peppy only needs to know the current step so the right number appears on the protocol card, the reminder and the log sheet.

## Shot day, rotation and missed doses

Ozempic's label names the abdomen, thigh and upper arm as injection sites and tells you to use a different site each week when you inject in the same region. Peppy's body map breaks those regions into 13 sites and suggests the next one every time you open the log sheet, with "last used 7 days ago" under each spot. If you also run another protocol, the rotation is shared across both. The [site rotation guide](https://peppytracker.com/guides/injection-site-rotation/) explains the order and how to customise it (Pro).

For a missed shot, the label is specific: take it as soon as possible within 5 days of the missed dose; if more than 5 days have passed, skip it and take the next dose on the regular day. It also allows changing your weekly day as long as two doses are at least 2 days (more than 48 hours) apart. Peppy shows "OVERDUE" on the Today tab with the elapsed time so you have the number in front of you when you talk to your prescriber. Then you log it late, mark it skipped, or add a past dose from the Calendar. Missed and overdue are computed from your schedule, never stored, so the month grid never shows duplicates. The [missed GLP-1 dose guide](https://peppytracker.com/guides/missed-glp-1-dose/) goes deeper.

## Titration and step-ups

Ozempic's titration is slow by design, and it is easy to lose track of which four-week block you are in. In Peppy a titration (Pro) is a list of steps with a duration each: 0.25 mg for 4 weeks, then 0.5 mg, then whatever your prescriber writes next. When a step ends, the dose advances on the card, in the reminder and on the log sheet without you editing anything, and a marker lands on the weight chart so you can see what changed after the step-up. If your prescriber holds you at a step longer, you edit the duration and the schedule recalculates. The [titration schedule tracker guide](https://peppytracker.com/guides/glp-1-titration-schedule-tracker/) shows the setup screen by screen.

## Side effects and weight

Nausea, constipation, heartburn, sulfur burps and food noise are the GLP-1 defaults in Peppy's daily check-in. You score each from 1 to 5, enter your weight, rate how you feel and add a note; it takes about 20 seconds from the check-in row on the Today tab. Weight can also arrive from Apple Health automatically, and every weigh-in you enter in Peppy is written back to Health.

The Progress tab (Pro) is where this pays off. The side-effect heat-map lines your scores up by week against your shot days and step-up markers, so a pattern like "sulfur burps for two days after each shot, worse in the week after the step to 1 mg" becomes something you can show your prescriber rather than describe from memory. Export (Pro) turns the same data into a PDF or CSV. See [nausea](https://peppytracker.com/side-effects/nausea/) and [sulfur burps](https://peppytracker.com/side-effects/sulfur-burps/) for what people commonly report and how to log them.

## What's still active

Ozempic's label puts semaglutide's elimination half-life at approximately one week and notes it stays in circulation for about five weeks after the last dose. Peppy uses that half-life to draw an "Active in your system" curve: it decays across the week and stacks when a new shot lands on top of what is left. It is an estimate from the half-life, not a measurement, but it explains why a weekly schedule holds fairly steady and why a missed week shows up as a visible dip.

## Frequently asked

### Is there an Ozempic tracker app for iPhone?

Yes. Peppy is a free iPhone Ozempic tracker app. Ozempic is built into its catalog as a weekly semaglutide pen in mg, so you search for it, set your shot day and last dose, and log each shot on a body map. The Today tab shows the countdown to the next one.

### How do I remember my Ozempic day?

Set the weekday in your Ozempic protocol and Peppy shows the countdown on the Today tab. With Pro you get a dose reminder on the day, a missed-dose nudge 30 minutes, 1 hour or 2 hours later, and a Lock Screen widget that logs the shot with one tap.

### What happens in the tracker if I miss an Ozempic shot?

Peppy computes missed and overdue from your schedule and shows how long it has been. Ozempic's label says to take a missed dose within 5 days and otherwise skip it; you decide with your prescriber, then log it late or mark it skipped so the calendar stays accurate.

### Can I track Ozempic side effects like nausea in the app?

Yes. The daily check-in scores nausea, constipation, heartburn, sulfur burps and food noise from 1 to 5 with weight and a note. The Progress tab (Pro) turns those into a heat-map lined up against your shot days and step-ups.

### Does the Ozempic tracker work with Apple Health?

Peppy reads your weight history from Apple Health and writes every weigh-in back. The weight chart on the Progress tab (Pro) shows your goal and a marker at each step-up.
