Tirzepatide tracker for iPhone: units to draw, shot day and side effects in one place

What tracking tirzepatide actually involves

A tirzepatide tracker app has to handle a unit conversion that the brand pens hide. Mounjaro and Zepbound are clicked to a number in mg; Compounded Tirzepatide is drawn from a multi-dose vial with an insulin syringe, so your dose is a number of units that depends on the concentration your pharmacy filled. Two vials with the same mg but different mL give different unit counts for the same prescribed dose. The things to track are the units for the vial in your fridge, the weekly day, the injection site, and how many draws remain.

Shot day, rotation and missed doses

The Mounjaro and Zepbound labels name the abdomen, thigh and (when someone else injects) the back of the upper arm, and say to rotate with each dose. Compounded tirzepatide carries no catalog ladder because there is no label for it; your provider writes the steps, usually in units. If the vial concentration changes at a refill, re-run the calculator: the same mg is a different number of units, and the tracker should show the new one. Side effects and weight

What's still active

Tirzepatide's elimination half-life is approximately five days according to the Mounjaro prescribing information (five to six days per Zepbound's). Peppy uses the catalog half-life to draw an "Active in your system" curve that decays through the week and steps up when the next shot lands. It is an estimate from the half-life, not a measurement.
