Peppy vs Pep is a nutrition-versus-math split. Pep ("GLP-1 Tracker: Pep" on the App Store, by Shred Apps) bundles your GLP-1 routine with food. Its site leads with an AI food scanner that estimates calories, protein, fiber and fat from a photo, plus water goals and reminders for meals and weigh-ins alongside your shot. If you are on Wegovy or Zepbound and want to watch protein while you lose weight, Pep does that in one place, on iPhone and Android.

Peppy is for the person whose hard problem is the shot itself: which vial, how many units, which site, when the next one is due, and what it is doing to weight and side effects. It covers Pep's GLP-1 list (including retatrutide and compounded tirzepatide) and 100 research compounds besides. It has no food logging and no AI.

Feature by feature

Food. Pep wins outright. Peppy's daily check-in records weight, side effects on a 1 to 5 scale, feelings such as appetite control and energy, and a note. That is deliberate: Peppy ties symptoms to dose day rather than counting calories. If you need both, run Pep for food and something else for math, or accept Pep's simpler shot tracking.

Units. Pep lists compounded semaglutide, tirzepatide and retatrutide but no reconstitution calculator. Reminders and widgets. Both have them. Pep's are broader (water, meals, weigh-ins) and include a Home Screen widget. Calendar and history. Both keep a dose history. Peppy's Calendar shows taken, skipped, missed and upcoming dots on a month grid, computes missed and overdue from the schedule rather than storing them, and lets you add a past dose on any day, which matters when you move over from another app.

Pricing

Pep is free to download with optional premium features. Its site does not state prices; the App Store listing shows several in-app purchases, including $9.99 monthly and $39.99 annual options.

Peppy's free tier is one active protocol with logging, calendar, calculator, check-ins, site rotation, Apple Health and iCloud. Pro is $29.99 a year or $5.99 a week with a 7-day trial and adds reminders, insights charts, unlimited protocols, cycles and titration, inventory, photos, export and widgets.

Privacy and data

Pep says health data is never sold and that it uses Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework. Its App Store privacy label lists identifiers used to track you across apps. Whether an account is required is not stated. Export is not listed.
