GLP-1 tracker for iPhone: every shot, step-up and side effect in one place

Tracking a GLP-1 means knowing your shot day, where you injected last, which step of the titration ladder you are on, and how nausea, food noise and weight move after each dose. What tracking a GLP-1 actually involves

A GLP-1 tracker app has one real job: make sure the weekly shot happens on the right day, in a different spot from last time, at the dose your prescriber currently has you on. Everything else (side effects, weight, what is still active in your body) is context that helps you and your prescriber read the result.

The medications look similar but track differently:

• Brand pens — Ozempic, Wegovy, Mounjaro and Zepbound are once-weekly pens dosed in mg. Their labels list a step-up ladder, so the thing to track is which step you are on and when the next one is due.
• Compounded vials — Compounded Semaglutide and Compounded Tirzepatide are drawn from a multi-dose vial with an insulin syringe, so the dose is written in units. The thing to track is the units-to-mg conversion for your specific vial, plus how many doses are left in it.
• Research compounds — Retatrutide is an investigational triple agonist studied as a weekly shot. It is tracked like a vial, with a half-life curve instead of a label.

Shot day, rotation and missed doses

All four brand labels name the same three regions: abdomen, thigh and upper arm, and all say to rotate. Missed doses are where the labels differ, and where a tracker earns its keep. Ozempic's label says to take a missed dose within 5 days, otherwise skip it. Mounjaro's and Zepbound's say within 4 days (96 hours). Wegovy's current label frames it around the next scheduled dose: take it if the next dose is more than 2 days away, skip it if not. Titration and step-ups

Every brand label runs a ladder: Ozempic and Wegovy start at 0.25 mg weekly for four weeks, Mounjaro and Zepbound at 2.5 mg for four weeks, then step up in fixed increments after at least four weeks on the current dose, per their prescribing information. Your prescriber decides when you move; the tracker's job is to know which step you are on today so the log, the reminder and the card all show the right number.

In Peppy, titration (Pro) is a list of steps with durations. When a step's duration ends, the dose on the protocol card, on the reminder and on the log sheet advances on its own, and the step-up shows as a marker on the weight chart so you can see what changed after it. Side effects and weight

The daily check-in is the same for every GLP-1: weight, side effects scored 1 to 5, feelings scored 1 to 5, a note and an optional progress photo (Pro). The GLP-1 defaults are nausea, constipation, heartburn, sulfur burps and food noise; you can add any of the other 28 side effects in Settings. Weight comes in from Apple Health if you already use a smart scale, and every weigh-in you enter in Peppy is written back.

The Progress tab (Pro) lines those scores up against your dose days: a weight trend with your goal and each step-up marked, a side-effect heat-map by week, a feelings chart, and an adherence percentage. That is what makes a pattern like "nausea peaks two days after every step-up" visible instead of a vague feeling. The side-effect tracking guide explains how to read it.

What's still active

Semaglutide's label gives an elimination half-life of about one week; tirzepatide's about five days. Peppy uses each compound's catalog half-life to draw an "Active in your system" curve that decays between shots and stacks when you inject before the previous dose has cleared. It is an estimate from the half-life, not a measurement, and it exists to answer "how much is left" in a glance rather than to guide anything clinical. How to do this in Peppy

1. Open Protocols, tap + and search for your medication by brand or by "semaglutide" / "tirzepatide". Compounded vials and retatrutide are in the same list.
2. Enter the dose your prescriber gave you, in mg for a pen or units for a vial, and pick Weekly with your shot day. For a vial, the reconstitution calculator sits inline in the editor and shows the units to draw.
3. Add your titration steps (Pro) if you are on the ladder, with the duration of each step.
4. Set the date of your last shot so the countdown on the Today tab starts from the right place.
